Many Miniatures

Reception on September 26th 2010 & running through October

More than 50 Miniature art works, each three inches by three inches, will be exhibited for sale at Landmarks Gallery 231 N. 76th St. with opening reception from one to five p.m., Sunday, September 26th 2010.

              The show will continue through October 30th, 2010. Featured will be professional artists including Janet W. Kimberling, Santa Fe., NM, D. Leahy, Chicago, IL. , Terry Doughty, Hazelhurst, WI, Ginger Frederick, Milwaukee, WI. Selected students from Wisconsin Lutheran College and Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design will also present works. Jill Ray, Oconomowoc will present layered works of photographic images of Milwaukee landmarks.

Anna Marie Ullrich Ross was an late 1800's Wisconsin Artist. She was born in St. Louis Missouri in 1850. She married August Johann Peter Ross and together they moved to Milwaukee. She had four children there and work on her art. Her work was exhibited at the Layton Art Gallery where she studied. She exhibited in Chicago through out her career. Ross also exhibited in Boston in 1889, Paris in 1891, Washington D.C. in 1890, Buffalo in 1891 and in St. Louis in 1894.
